Biography
Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Albanna started platform diving at the beginning of high school, which started from just gymnastics.
She is championship award winning finalist and has held many titles growing up as an athlete.
CURRENT
The Routine
Practice is an essential part of becoming a great diver, so Albanna has created a strict mentality and physicality in order to perform high level movements.
The art takes a unique character that is willing to overcome fear and to present an awesome personality while at it too.
BEYOND
Representation
The name Al-Banna traces back to her family origin in Iraq. Translated, It means 'The Mason'
She is a representative to the Muslim community around campus and advocates for athletes of foreign backgrounds to join Colorado State University.
The Last Dive
Captured is the last moment Albanna spent at Moby Pool practicing her dives before heading out to the University of Houston for the Mountain West Championship conference with the CSU Women's Swim team.
Before the Championship
In the dry land practice gym, she reflects on the times leading up till the final year of her athletic career. The journey she has taken is a crucial part that makes up a character of what she can display of her talents in the community of Northern Colorado

After four years of practice within the pool, Albanna prepares for the last moments to her career diving in college. Working closely with Chris Bergere, Colorado State University's head diving coach, Albanna finds the relationship to be interesting due to Bergere is experienced nature of coaching students to qualify in top competitions.
